Fast, faster, graphs!

Graphene hot wax

The lowest friction values can only be achieved by using hot wax! We've added graphene to the mix. With our recipe, you'll now be playing in the top league of friction values!

Which chain wax is for me?

Here we clarify which chain wax is right for you. Which additives and whether hot or liquid wax.

Which additive?

Graphene chain wax is particularly characterized by its low friction. Perfect for racing or a quick coffee ride.

Graphene is a single-layer platelet made of carbon atoms. This special atomic structure leads to quantum physical effects in graphene, which, among other things, makes graphene extremely friction-reducing!

The friction actually decreases as the number of stacked graphene plates increases. Totally crazy, but true!

And we use exactly this miracle material for our products. To make things faster for you.

Graphite is the perfect all-rounder, inexpensive and fast. Not as fast as graphene, but still very fast.

Graphite consists of several carbon atom layers. The bonding forces between these layers are relatively low, which means that the atomic layers slide against each other with little energy.

What does this mean for the chain?

Steel on steel requires a lot of energy for one metal plate to slide over the other. The graphite sits between the metal surfaces and moves instead of the metal.

This reduces wear on the chain and sprocket and saves energy when pedaling.

Our basic chain wax (liquid wax only) comes without additives.

But it is just as clean, quiet and long-lasting as the versions with graphite or graphene. The only difference is that graphene and graphite simply run faster.

Hot or liquid wax?

Or ask everyone's question. I would answer: "Both in combination."

Liquid wax:

  • Time required: 45s
  • Durability: 200-300km
  • Friction: Fast

Hot wax:

  • Time required: 1h
  • Durability: 800-1000km
  • Friction: Very fast
In fact, there is not much difference between our two chain waxes; cleanliness etc. is exactly the same.
Recommendation: If you still want to use hot wax, you should definitely take a liquid wax with you. This will save you from having to wax at the most inopportune time and is particularly useful in winter because you have to re-wax more often and the wax provides great corrosion protection.
