Instructions: Ultrasonic Cleaning
-
Preparation:
Water quality: Use normal tap water.
Cleaner: Use our ultrasonic cleaning fluid
Concentration: Dilute 5–20% in water. Depending on the degree of soiling.
Fill level: Fill the tank only up to the mark, no more, no less. -
Degassing:
When filling the water, there is still air in the water, which significantly reduces the ultrasonic effect.
Set the desired target temperature.
Let the ultrasound run for 10 minutes, after which the water is "degassed" and optimal for cleaning.
-
Temperature & Heating:
Optimal temperature: 60-80°C for degreasing and wax removal.
At room temperature, the device needs approx. 40-60 minutes to heat the water.
-
Cleaning process:
Wipe the chain roughly to prevent coarse dirt from entering the tank.
Place the chain in the basket – not directly on the tank bottom.
Cleaning time: 10–20 minutes per cycle, depending on the degree of soiling.
For heavily soiled chains, start a second cycle if necessary and/or renew the fluid. Please turn the chain halfway through the time, the ultrasonic transducer is located at the bottom, for optimal cleaning it is necessary to turn the chain. If necessary, make sure not to place the chain too close together.
After cleaning, rinse the chain with clear water and dry immediately (e.g. compressed air or cloth). -
Handling wax in the cleaner:
During cleaning, old chain wax dissolves.
The wax collects on the surface and settles when cooled.
Procedure: Let the cleaner cool down. Carefully skim off the wax layer floating on top (e.g. with a ladle).
Pour the liquid through a fine sieve or filter paper to retain or dispose of wax particles. This way, the cleaner can be used longer.
-
Changing & disposing of the cleaner:
Change interval: At the latest when the liquid is heavily discolored or cloudy, or the cleaning performance noticeably decreases.
Disposal: Small amounts can be disposed of with household waste after cooling and filtration (solid wax).
Liquid residues do not belong in wastewater.
Larger quantities should be handed in as oily waste to a recycling center or a disposal facility for workshop waste. -
Maintenance:
Do not use metal brushes or sharp objects.
Store the device dry.
Regularly check that the heating element and ultrasonic function are working properly.
