Instructions: Ultrasonic Wax Melter
Instructions for version with 20min. timer! Delivery date 11.2025.
Please read these instructions in detail! To prevent damage to the device.
The wire basket comes without a handle, that's intentional! Due to the change in the position of the heating elements, it would otherwise be possible to pull out the wire basket before the wax has melted. More on this below*
Initial Use:
How the wax is placed in the cooker and on the heating elements is crucial for the first filling; once the device is filled, it runs by itself.
- Check the device for damage
- Remove the stickers in the tank (except for the fill level sticker); new, easier-to-remove stickers are already planned for the next model update.
- Remove the wire basket; this goes into the wax when it is completely melted.
- Plug in the power cord and fill the device with wax (2 packs, 750g).(IMPORTANT: the wax must be in contact with the walls to the right and left of the tank). The heating elements are NOT at the bottom of the tank, but on the side (approx. 2 cm above the tank bottom on the tank wall). If the wax is not flat against the heating element, the heater can dry out, which can damage the heating element. Light smoke will then rise from the housing. This effect can only occur with incorrect filling or a much too low wax level.
- If the wax is not flat against the heating elements, it can lead to the heater not being able to release its energy and the side walls of the housing becoming indirectly very hot. In general, the device must not be adjusted or moved when the wax in the device is still liquid to
- If the wax is not flat against the heaters, light smoke may rise (wax evaporates); this is not critical but should be prevented.
- When the entire amount of wax has melted and the wax is approx. 90°C, the chain can be placed in the wax.
Continuous Use:
The procedure here is considerably simpler than the initial filling.
- Check the wax level (ledge in the upper third): Should be kept to within 1cm.
- Set the rotary knob to "Waxing", the wax begins to melt.
- After 50 min. most of the wax has melted; due to the laterally placed heating elements, the wax at the bottom of the tank melts only very slowly. Now switch on the ultrasound for 20 min. so that the wax at the bottom is completely melted.
- The side walls of the housing can become very warm during long heating phases; please exercise a little caution here. In general, the device must not be adjusted if the wax is still liquid to prevent burns and accidents.
- Leave the lid on during ultrasound; in a few individual cases, the overheating protection may be activated and the heating and ultrasound then switched off. In this case, place the lid diagonally on the device to ensure more air circulation over the wax.
- Now insert the chain and expose it to ultrasound for 10 min. Then allow the wax with the chain to cool to approx. 60°C, remove the chain, switch off the device, and turn back the rotary knobs.
*Background:
In the model update, we attached the heaters to the side of the tank to significantly reduce the strain on the ultrasonic transducer. Due to the lateral positioning of the heating elements, the wax at the bottom does not melt as quickly, and pulling out the basket too early could result in a small to medium wax accident. Therefore, for safety reasons, we made it impossible :D
