Chain waxing has never been so easy: Optimize's automatic wax melter takes care of the entire waxing process for you – including precise temperature control and visual feedback.

With an inner diameter of 13 cm, the device offers enough space to easily insert and remove bicycle chains.

Two operating modes:

• Manual mode: You control the temperature and process yourself.

• Automatic mode: The device automatically runs a pre-programmed temperature curve and displays the current status via a front LED and the integrated display.

Automatic process:

1. Heat to 90 °C – As soon as the target temperature is reached, an audible signal sounds: The chain can now be inserted.

2. Maintain temperature – The wax remains at an optimal temperature for a defined period so that it can penetrate deep into the chain links.

3. Cooling phase – The device automatically lowers the temperature to approx. 65 °C.

4. Removal signal – Another audible signal indicates that the chain can be removed.

Requirements for automatic operation

The automatic mode is designed specifically for waxing a single bicycle chain with a defined amount of wax. Please note the following requirements for a smooth process:

• Wax quantity: approx. 250g Optimize hot wax (or 2.7cm fill height)

• Only one chain per cycle

• Use exclusively with Optimize wax (other waxes have different thermal conductivities and can disrupt the temperature profile)

When is manual mode recommended?

• If you want to use more than 250g of wax

• If you want to wax several chains simultaneously

• When using third-party wax (different viscosity, different thermal properties)

Important notes for automatic operation

1. Fill in the exact amount of wax:
   The automatic program is calibrated for 250g of wax – deviations can distort the temperature profile.

2. Place the lid on during heating:
   This is the only way to ensure even temperature distribution.

3. Wax only one chain at a time:
   For optimal penetration and safe temperature control.

4. Safety reserve in the temperature profile:
   The device runs the temperature curve with a deliberate tolerance range to compensate for manufacturing differences:

   • Heating temperature: approx. 90 °C to 125 °C

   • Removal signal at approx. 65 °C (acoustic signal)
